RTM Conference Sponsor ELT Announced 80 New Jobs - Mid America Brick Company

[June 21, 2010]

Environmental Liability Transfer, Inc. (ELT) is pleased to announce the formation of the Mid America Brick Company located in Mexico, Missouri. ELT holds a 40% ownership stake in this $21 million brownfield redevelopment project that will revitalize the historic 1,000,000 square foot former A.P. Green brick factory.

ELT purchased the facility in 2005 while providing a complete environmental liability transfer and assumption program. Founded in 1910, A. P. Green was once among the largest fire brick manufacturers in the world. The new Mid America Brick company will produce up to 60 million brick per year and reestablish Mexico as the 'brick capital of Missouri'.

Economic development director Russell Runge said "ELT's
commitment to reopen this plant brings 80 new jobs and helps Mexico regain its confidence and move ahead with other projects...We expect more jobs will come to the adjacent 1,000 acres that ELT owns."

Mid America Brick President Frank Cordie said "Bringing this dream to reality took four years of dedication and teamwork. Our management team has 200 years of brick industry experience and our investors believe in our vision. The central location, adjacent clay, and productive workforce will enable Mid America Brick to produce and distribute quality products cost-effectively throughout the Mid-West."
